Kathy’s Talks and Travels

airplaneIf you’re like us, April has flown by! Kathy’s travels took her to Houston, TX in mid-April with TLCCA and then over to the New York Metropolitan Area the following week with AELL.

Kathy was in Houston mid-April presenting at TLCCA’s Spring Conference to share “Yes It’s a Mission, But It’s Also an Investment!” She shared with owners how to maximize the value of their business and real estate, a beginning discussion of possible exit strategies, and an update on the global state of investment in the industry.

The following week Kathy was in Newark for AELL’s National Conference to present “Exiting Your Business…One Plan Does Not Fit All!”  The workshops had a great discussion to talk through the concept of once you’ve built a thriving business, where do you go from there? They reviewed several factors to keep in mind including understanding the types of transactions and tax implications of each, what a sales and transition process may look like, and more.  Attendees consisted of educational business owners from all over the country and all enjoyed learning from one another.

So that’s it for the spring conference series!  Looking forward to the fall and more learning and fun!
